Fun Friday

Oh...it's Friday and fall is upon us. If you are looking for ways to celebrate fall and farms to visit, check out last weeks Fun Friday: 10 places to Celebrate Fall. You will get some of the best farms, orchards and gardens in the area with Fall festivals and pumpkins galore. Not looking for a fall day but want a FUN day, you are in the right place. Here are my top 5 picks for events going on in the area this weekend.

1. This is one of our favorite events, Philadelphia Zoo's Boo at the Zoo.  Wear your costume, check out the animals and have a safe place to Trick or Treat for you and your family, plenty of sweets and treats, games, prizes, storytelling and crafts. This is an event you don't want to miss.!! Boo at the Zoo is so popular the Zoo is holding it 2 weekends in a row, this weekend October 16th and 17th and next weekend, the 23rd and 24th! NICE! 2.Voorhees Town Center's third annual Fall Harvest Festival, held in Macy's Court, includes balloon creations, face painting, games, pumpkin-painting, seasonal arts and crafts, yummy fall treats, prizes, square dancing from 1:30pm-2:30pm and 3pm-4pm, and giveaways. Complimentary refreshments - including apple cider, donuts, popcorn, and candy - are served.


3. Do you like Milk with you Cookies? Well you can have them both at the Milk and Cookies Variety show in Ardmore, Sunday October 17th at 10:00am. Join music director, host and Milk and Cookies creator, Lori as she sings her hits at the Milk and Cookies Show, and watch as your kids, rock to the beats! Admission is $5 per person, babies free! Don't worry about working up a hunger, food is available to purchase! Can't go this Sunday, don't worry, Milk and Cookies kicks off every Sunday in Ardmore.


4. It's Tyler Arboretum's Pumpkin Days this weekend from October 16th-17th. Take part in this long standing tradition by enjoying Live music, Haunted Bard, Hayrides, Moon Bounce, trampoline, Pumpkin Patch, Pumpkin Painting, crafts, games, contests and much much more!


5. Why not something FREE on your weekend? Join Lakeshore Learning Stores Nationwide for their free Kids Craft, Saturday from 11am to 3pm. This weekend, watch as your kids make a Smiling Scarecrow and you don't have to pay a dime, or clean up afterwards! Now that's my kinda craft!


Looking to do something but don't want to leave the house? This month Lucas' Journey with Sensory Processing Disorder is hosting A Sensory Awareness Blogging event this month, through fundraisers and giveaways! Hope on over spread the awareness and support her cause.
