Who is Kate and why does she get an ice cream named after her?
All in the name of a great cause and Make-A-Wish.
Kate is an 11 year old girl from Tampa with a Life Threatening Spinal Cord Illness. Last year, the Make-A-Wish Foundation fulfilled her dream to have an ice cream named after her and through today's event the "World's largest Ice Cream social", her ice cream flavor, a concoction of caramel apple ice cream,graham cracker crust,chocolate shavings and apple pie filling, YUM, will be given away at Cold Stone Creameries across the country.
As part of the event, Make-A-Wish is encouraging customer's to give a donation to their foundation! Not bad!
Definitely a worthwhile cause!!
